Information Regarding Another Center Charged with Abuse
This week in Lancaster County it was reported that two individuals from a local center are being charged with child abuse. This incident allegedly happened in the fall of 2019. One of the individual later was briefly employed at K-Prep Learning Center. Her employment at K-Prep was for less than 3 months as a part-time employee. During this time, she was still in her initial evaluation period and under supervision. When we closed due to COVID19, we were made aware of the allegations against this individual and immediately terminated her employment, even though the allegations were not at our center or with any of our students.
We do not have any concerns that anything inappropriate happened at our center, or with any of our students. We take our roles as mandated child abuse reporters seriously and we will never compromise the safety and healthy development of children. All employees are required to have multiple record checks, including a child abuse clearance . This individual was no different and did not have any incidents on her clearances.
If you have any further questions or concerns or would like additional clarifications, please do not hesitate to reach out and ask us.
Thank you,
Claire Crescenzi and Ann Kritzer
